Pengaruh Sikap Pengidolaan Artis Tiongkok Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Mandarin

Perkembangan teknologi pada masa ini membuat berbagai jenis informasi menjadi mudah di akses oleh siapapun dan dimanapun. Informasi mengenai politik, ekonomi, hiburan lokal maupun asing dapat diterima oleh seseorang dalam waktu yang singkat. Hiburan asing yang sangat diminati juga membuat masyarakat Indonesia dapat dengan mudah mengenali selebriti asing dan mengidolakan aktor atau penyanyi aisng. Sikap pengidolaan banyak ditemukan saat ini karena perkembangan teknologi memudahkan seseorang mencari informasi idola. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh sikap pengidolaan artis Tiongkok terhadap motivasi belajar Mandarin. Penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui wawancara 22 mahasiswa yang memiliki idola artis asal Tiongkok. Sikap pengidolaan setiap mahasiswa memiliki bentuk dan tingkatan yang berbeda sehingga pengaruh yang dihasilkan berbeda. Tingkatan pengidolaan yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah Entertainment Social dan Intense Personal dan menunjukan bahwa sikap pengidolaan mendorong dan memotivasi mahasiswa untuk belajar Mandarin serta menjadikan belajar Mandarin lebih menyenangkan karena ada dorongan motivasi dari idola. Meskipun pengidolaan tidak berdampak negatif terhadap motivasi belajar, tetapi pengidolaan yang berlebihan tidak disarankan.
